Entry #9 Lifestyle of Food

Imagine being a busy, on-the-go person. More importantly, a chef at a busy restaurant. I think over the years jobs have gotten busier due to the population increase. This increases fast food production when someone doesn't have time to cook a full meal.

This picture captures the irony of being able to cook amazing food but not having time for yourself at the end of the day because you're burnt out from a busy day at work. You don't get amazing freshly cooked food, instead, you get frozen, processed foods. This happens in any busy job in today's society and I think it's important to bring it up because there can be negative effects to consuming mainly processed foods. It has been normalized over the years but long-term habits can have consequences, as we can see with an increased obesity rate in the U.S. But there are alternatives, of course, that correspond to busy schedules. There are meal plans that can be delivered weekly to you, for example, a well-known brand is "Hello Fresh." This company lets you pick and choose according to your personal preferences. I say this because as we get older life seems to get busier and this is something to start thinking about as we progress into the future.

All things considered, this meme captures the irony of the busy life. I hope this gave you awareness of better options than processed food every night. Have a great week and happy holidays to those who celebrate!
